Who is Jenevieve?

The name Jenevieve comes from the daughter of a friend of founder Kelli Payne. The mother of Jenevieve spent many hours in the hospital with her medically fragile daughter at great expense, often foregoing her own needs. When Kelli told Jenevieve’s mother of her intention to name the charity after being inspired by the need she saw with Jenevieve, her mom said Jenevieve was named after Saint Genevieve. St. Genevieve once rescued the city of Paris from starvation historically.

Kelli did not know about the saint’s meaning until after founding Jenevieve’s Purpose to help feed the parents of medically fragile children. God placed the idea in her heart, she says, and when she asked Genevieve’s mom and got this response, she knew it was definitely “a God-driven thing and she was here to help God provide for his very special families.”
